the shops are too far for my stomach.
so i will ration my final tampon,
and sleep in red sheets.

if i eat my bread
crusts
and pluck my pubic
hairs

curlier and thicker
than before

and i will not be so
embarrassed
of my
receding hairline

when they find us planted together
we will not be described by our parts.

one clutching small notebook
full of rudimentary artwork,
and what could be called
‘poetry’.

carpals, metacarpals, phalanges

Beau Jones is a nonbinary 22-year-old palaeontologist and artist from Bristol.
Beau explained, "These works come from an anthology of 20 poems I wrote for my friend, a trans woman, titled
‘From My Cunt to Yours’. The poetry was written into a book and each poem accompanied by a lino print of a vagina. Throughout the book, the vagina grows hair and bleeds. A gift to
my friend, her first period.
